Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 6, 2026 | Last Updated: April 6, 2026
Core Commitment: NoPhoto does not collect, upload, or share any of your photos or personal data. All photo processing is performed locally on your device.
NoPhoto (hereinafter "the App") is developed and operated by kinyo (hereinafter "we" or "us"). We understand the importance of privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Photos and Videos — The App does not read, analyze, upload, or transmit your photos to any external server in any way. All photo operations (browsing, deleting, classifying) are performed locally on your device through Apple's PhotoKit framework.
- Personal Identifiable Information — We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, geographic location, or any other personally identifiable information.
- Usage Behavior Data — We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs or tracking tools to collect your usage behavior.
1.2 Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device locally (and via iCloud Sync if you choose to enable it):
| Data Type | Purpose | Storage Location |
| App Settings | Save your preference configuration (decision time, operation mode, etc.) | Local Device / iCloud |
| Statistics | Display cleanup history and achievement progress | Local Device / iCloud |
| Exemption List | Record photo identifiers you marked as exempt | Local Device / iCloud |
| Achievement Records | Track achievement badges you have unlocked | Local Device / iCloud |
2. Photo Library Access
The App requires access to your photo library to function properly. Here are the specifics:
- We access your photo library through Apple's PhotoKit framework, which is a standard system interface provided by Apple.
- You can choose to grant Full Access or Limited Access permissions. In Limited Access mode, only the photos you select are visible to the App.
- Photo deletion operations use standard system APIs. iOS will display a confirmation dialog before deletion, requiring your explicit confirmation.
- Deleted photos are moved to the iOS system's "Recently Deleted" folder and are automatically permanently deleted after 30 days.
- You can modify or revoke photo library access permissions at any time in "Settings > NoPhoto".
3. iCloud Sync
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync:
- Synced data includes only app settings, statistics, and the exemption list — no photo content is included.
- Data is transmitted through Apple's CloudKit framework, using Apple's end-to-end encrypted infrastructure.
- Synced data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access.
- You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app settings.
4. Face-to-Face Sharing
The App provides a photo sharing feature over local area networks:
- Photo data is transmitted directly between devices only through the local Wi-Fi network, without passing through any external servers.
- The sharing feature compresses photos and strips location data by default to protect privacy (adjustable in settings).
- After a sharing session ends, transmitted data is not retained on any intermediate nodes.
5. Payment Model
The App is a paid upfront app available on the App Store:
- Purchase is completed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, Apple ID passwords, etc.).
- The App does not offer any subscriptions or in-app purchases. A one-time purchase unlocks all features.
6. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, including but not limited to:
- Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
- Advertising networks (AdMob, Facebook Ads, etc.)
- Crash reporting tools (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- Social media SDKs
We only use system frameworks provided by Apple (PhotoKit, CloudKit, StoreKit).
7. Data Security
- All app data is stored on the device using iOS system-level encryption.
- iCloud synced data is protected by Apple's transport encryption and storage encryption.
- The App does not establish any network connections to external servers (except for iCloud Sync and iCloud photo downloads, which are handled through Apple's secure infrastructure).
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect any personal information, there is no risk of children's data collection.
9. Data Deletion
Since we do not store your data on any servers, you can completely delete all app data through the following methods:
- Delete the App — Uninstalling NoPhoto will remove all app data from your device.
- In-App Clear — Go to "Settings > Data Management > Clear All Data" to delete all local and iCloud data with one tap.
- iCloud Data — You can manually delete NoPhoto's iCloud data in "System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage".
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will notify you within the App. We recommend that you review this page periodically for the latest privacy protection measures.
